Steps: How to connect your mobile and laptop

1. On your laptop, open Gemini.

2. Open the sidebar, select Gems, and click New Gem.

3. Enter the Gem name, description, and instructions above, then save.

4. Open the Gemini app on your phone and sign in with the same Google account. Your created Gem should be available on supported devices.

5. During a conversation, use a transcript, notes, or supported audio input to give your Gem the information it needs. Review its suggested reply before speaking.

Important limitation: live phone calls

A custom Gem is not automatically a live phone-call listener. Google's current help documentation says Gems cannot be used with Gemini Live at present.

For your complete vision, think of the system in two stages:

Stage 1: Mobile

Provide call notes or an authorised transcript/audio file.

Stage 2: AI Analysis

Interpret the conversation, generate replies, and assess potential consequences.

Stage 3: Laptop

Review detailed analysis, compare responses, and save follow-up actions.

To achieve genuinely live call transcription, automatic mobile-to-laptop synchronisation, and near-real-time reply suggestions, you may need additional software or a custom application with supported audio access and integrations. Those features will not be created simply by adding instructions to a Gem.
